Advertising and before-and-after policy
Consent, representative images and accurate course and treatment claims.
Last updated:
Responsible information
Treatment and training information should be accurate, verifiable and clear about limitations. Marketing must not guarantee results, exaggerate benefits, trivialise treatment decisions or pressure people into treatment. Course certification and accreditation claims must be supported by evidence.
Cosmetic advertising
Prescription-only medicines must not be advertised to the public. Cosmetic intervention advertising must not target under-18s. Public treatment and promotional content requires review against the applicable advertising rules.
Before-and-after images
- Obtain and record permission for the intended publication.
- Use representative images and fair comparisons of lighting and angles.
- Do not use editing or filters that alter treatment-relevant appearance.
- Explain relevant context without implying that everyone will achieve the same result.
Testimonials and concerns
Testimonials must be genuine, used with appropriate permission and presented without misleading claims. Contact us if you have a concern about an image, permission or claim on the website.
